General Liability Waiver

Waiver and Release:

I, the undersigned participant, hereby acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved in participating in activities at Silk & Circus. I understand that circus sports involve risks that may cause various injuries and that such injuries may result in death or serious disability. I also understand that circus sports are physically demanding and, in susceptible people, may cause panic, hyperventilation or heart attack. I recognize and understand these risks and release Silk and Circus and the staff/instructors/other participants thereof from any liability that may result from these risks. I acknowledge that the Silk & Circus has taken appropriate steps to make the center a safe and enjoyable environment for all its participants. I agree to disclose any physical limitations, ailments, or impairments which may affect my or my child's ability to safely participate and understand that disclosure does not mitigate risk or personal liability. I understand that for safety and instruction participants may be physically handled by instructors and other participants. I give my permission for Silk & Circus to use any photographs of myself or my child for promotional purposes and I will not seek compensation of any kind. Parents/Guardians are solely responsible for getting their children to and from the Silk & Circus facility. I am aware that this waiver is ongoing and will apply to all future occasions I participate in circus sports and/or any activity at Silk & Circus center/studio or events. 

Rules of Conduct:

1. All safety instructions from instructors must be followed.

2. Only instructors are to handle rigging and tie offs.

3. Swinging on the equipment/apparatus is prohibited. Unsafe and inappropriate use of equipment and conduct will be cause for removal from the center.

4. Communication is a must. If you feel at risk or uncomfortable during an activity or see other participants in unsafe situations you must notify instructors immediately.

5. Do not make contact (hands, feet, body...) with rigging or walls/support structures of the facility.

6. Equipment/apparatus brought in from outside Silk & Circus must be inspected for compatibility with onsite rigging by a staff member prior to use.

7. All non-participants must stay outside of the matted floor area.

8. Food, drinks and shoes are not permitted on the matted floor area.

I have read this Waiver & Release thoroughly and understand the terms and agree to abide by the Rules of Conduct while at Silk & Circus.
